The objective is to establish the “BeWell System Platform” at the Living Lab Sumida, a research and development hub for industry-government-academia-community collaboration located at the Sumida Satellite Campus. This platform aims to promote health and well-being by measuring and providing feedback on residential environments, physiological data, and daily activities, thereby supporting the realization of Society 5.0.

Focusing on the home as the central stage, this initiative proposes comprehensive insights to anticipate, prevent, and address emerging physical and mental health issues resulting from societal changes driven by demographic shifts such as declining birthrates and an aging population, as well as the rapid proliferation of AI technology.

Specific objectives within the research period include:
•The automatic optimization of the living environment to maximize well-being (enhancing comfort, concentration, immersion, and preventing heatstroke and heat shock)
•Developing mechanisms for early detection of dementia and behavioral changes through motion tracking of daily activities.
