Establishment of mathematical analysis methods for epigenomic modification positional relationships.

Abstract

Life phenomena are triggered by proteins produced through transcription and translation of genes, and methylation of genes and histone proteins are known as transcription regulators. Methylation modifications have been observed to change their positions as the cell differentiates.

By utilizing various mathematical analysis methods used in other fields such as signal analysis and physics, we aim to describe more clearly how the relationship between the positions of histone modifications changes with cell differentiation. We also hope to use the findings to contribute to the treatment and prevention of tumors and lifestyle-related diseases, which are disruptions in cell differentiation.
