New Medical Strategy for Virus-associated Cancer via Multi-omics Analysis Focusing on Extrachromosomal DNA.

Abstract

Extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) is extensively implicated in carcinogenesis through a variety of potential carcinogenic mechanisms. Recently, my research team succeeded in identifying a human-viral hybrid ecDNA (hybrid ecDNA), a fusion of the human genome and viral genome, in Virus-associated oropharyngeal cancer.

Currently, my research is focused on this structure with the aim of developing innovative medical strategies in Virus-associated cancer.
